About Your Character:
General information:
Full Name: Mornumel
Nicknames:"Blunt as the heads of her arrows." Also, "Mornumel the Naive."
Age: 1150-ish
Race: Elf
Gender: Female
Class: Hunter
Approximate level: 31 as of this writing
Place of residence: As of this point in her story, she moves daily.
Place of Birth: Lorien.
Occupation: N/A
Special Abilities: . Skilled with a bow, but not very talented in arrow making. Experienced in tracking and navigation.
Positive Personality Traits: Proud, patient, careful eye for detail, never reckless, strong sense of duty and "rightness," and even stronger sense of reason
Negative Personality Traits: Arrogant, sense of entitlement, blunt and socially awkward, somewhat naive, willing to bend her morals for what she perceives as "right"; she could potentially be traitorous, if the situation demanded it. I like to think that she'd need only be in the same room as the One Ring to be corrupted by it.
Misc. Quirks: Says what is on her mind, though usually without detailing her thought process until asked. This leads to many awkward situations and seemingly random outbursts.
Comments or questions about your character: Her backstory isn't very fleshed out just yet, however there are a few points worth mentioning.
-She is known in Lorien for her bluntness. She is regarded as a gossip and rumor-spreader, despite her claims that she "only speaks what she knows."
-Her journey began with her discovery of a wounded man in the woods. The man had suffered mortal wounds at the hands of a band of goblins, and wandered with his last effort into the forest. There he fell into the bewildered arms of Mornumel, of whom he asked his last request. "Warn the lands of the approaching armies," he pleaded, "and tell my wife and child of my death." Unfortunately, the man could only pronounce one syllable of his name before succumbing to his wounds.
-Needless to say, the elves of Lorien did not believe Mornumel's tale of goblins, nor of a man whose body had disappeared. So, Mornumel resolved to leave the forest, to both fulfill the mystery man's final request and investigate the goblin threat, unsure whether the event had actually happened.
About You (Out of Character):
General information:
This information is optional but may help us get to know you better. Fill out only what you are comfortable with sharing.
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Gaming experience level (in LotRO and other MMOs): Too much to list. Includes several months to multiple years in everything from SWG to WoW to Guild Wars to AO and everything in between. I previously spent a month or so in LOTRO a few years back, and levelled a character to 22 and a character to 14, the latter of which is Mornumel. I came back just a few days ago, interested in the free-ness of the game, and have since levelled Mornumel to 31.
Role-Playing experience level (in LotRO and other formats): Minimal in LOTRO, but extensive in mostly all other games I've played. Much of that experience is from SWG and CoH/V, but it extends as far as STO and numerous other games.
Your alts (if any): Evyy, 22 Captain, Race of Man
Gaming style: RP-PvP, though in LoTRO I suppose it would be mostly RP. I PvE too, but it's more out of necessity and seeing the epic story than enjoyment of killing hundreds of mobs. Instances are fun, though.
Please fill out this information as completely as possible. Rate how important the following is to you in LotRO:
Leveling: 5
Crafting: 0
Exploring: 3
PvMP: 2 (would be 5 if I had access)
End-game content: 3
Role-playing: 5
Socializing: 4
How much time do you spend on the most important aspects listed above?
Mostly levelling, though occasionally RP, mostly due to not wanting to stand around in Bree. I like having adventures, not standing around a bar reminiscing about adventures.
Have you ever been in another Kinship or Guild? Yes. I am currently in one, though it is not quite what I'd hoped.
What is your time zone? What are your approximate game play hours and how much time do you play per week?
VERY IMPORTANT: EST, evenings. I try and play as often as I can, though with my college-life schedule that probably won't be as often as I'd like. For the next week or so I should be on daily, as I'm on break.
Any comments about yourself you would like to include: I'm a bit of a Tolkien newbie, and as such Mornumel's backstory isn't very fleshed out. I'm hoping to change that through roleplay.
Also, as mentioned, I'm an adventurer and really hoping for a fellowship-like experience. My application is really based on the hope that I'd find that experience in Lond Treneri, as opposed to just standing around in the Pony socializing. I may be hoping for too much, but that's really the playstyle I enjoy and I'd like to find a kin that feels the same way I do.
