Soooo... IC I'm a lot of people. I'm an alt-aholic as a gamer but Ceallian and Caspia are the characters I consider my "main." The best way to see who I really am IC is to hang out with me in-game!
Ceallian (pronounced Cay-Thee-An) Wing, who just turned twenty, is a Minstrel and from Bree-Land, though her family is Rohirrim. Her father, Braem Wing, thought it would be best to raise his family in the fields North of Bree-Town and perhaps escape some of what he remembered of war as a retired soldier and a troubled past. Cay was raised with five older brothers in a little tavern her parents ran; all of her brothers joined the Free Peoples' cause and were killed just before she lost her home. She has an adoptive sister, of sorts. When Cay's parents died defending her and her younger sister from invading brigands that assaulted Archet, she took to the road with her pretty mediocre skills as a lute player and even worse skills with a sword to try to make her way in life. You'll have to meet her to learn more, I suppose!
Caspia Wing, who's very young to Hobbits (about seventeen or eighteen in the years of Men) is my exceptionally tall and clever Hobbit Huntress. There are times when I role-play her much more than Cay. She's ridiculously fun to play because she's the anti-Hobbit; she wears shoes because no one respects the subtleties of Hobbit culture in battle, when horses could stomp a bare foot or a stray arrow falling from the sky could pierce right through it. She's also quite sharp with her tongue and I've made a few people angry OOC with her IC who love to play with Cay but can't stand Caspia. Caspia was raised with Ceallian's family and identifies more with Men than Hobbits, who she finds to be silly and frivolous most of the time. She never saw the Shire or met another of her kind until she and Cay were forced to leave home when they lost their parents and their Inn was burned down.
Some of my lesser-played alts are characters I put quite a bit of thought into regardless. My Hobbit burglar is the one I play the most out of about six more so here's a bit of info on her.
Talaith, who's a bit older than Caspia, is very shy about her surname (it's Thornlane, but she'd rather not have everyone know this for some reason, and her first name is Welsh for "shining crown") is an "Expert" treasure hunter from the Marish area of the Shire. Basically she's a burglar. For a good idea of what that means, read the first ten pages of The Hobbit. Hobbits view burglars very differently than we do as a society in the real world. It is a respected job, to be sneaky and clever, and burglars are contracted to do all sorts of tricky things to further the causes of the Free People. Sadly, though, Talaith is a terrible burglar. She's still learning, and makes ends meet by making a little jewelry here and there and perhaps doing a few... odd jobs as well.
Now, OOC, my name is Tabitha and I'm a real-life gamer girl. I'm 28 years old. I work too much, about 50-60 hours a week as a professional tattoo artist. You can check out the thread in the OOC section below to see a few pieces from my portfolio. I have other hobbies besides this (*gasp!*) which include gardening, reading, sewing, and NOT watching TV. That crap rots your brain. Like this doesn't.
I began playing LotRO about a year and a half ago after a brief and utterly unimpressive time in WoW. I started two Kinships on my first server; one was a crafting co-op and the other was the only heavy RP Kin to be found. I transferred to Landroval in late June of 2008 and began Lond Treneri. I had in mind the sort of group of people I wanted to game with: folks that were as passionate about expanding and enriching their gaming time with RP and who were laid back and shared my sense of humor. Our group has grown and changed for the better in ways I never imagined. I'm proud that I can lead such a talented and friendly Kinship.
