The Adventures of a Hobbit
By: Tormac Strongarm
Tormac Strongarm is an exceptionally young hobbit from the Shire, being 22 years old. From a very young age Tormac was always an outcast from the hobbit children, because he never had much time to run and play. At the age of 9 his mother became crippled when she lost her leg to a bear. Young Tormac had to step up and take charge of feeding and providing for his mother and younger brother. He has never known his father, who abandoned Tormac and his mother, who was pregnant at the time, which angers him. Being the oldest Tormac learned the art of hunting, slowly learning how to track and kill deer for his family. He also had to manage the produce in the gardens at his home. Although Tormac struggled to provide for his family, he found a way to manage.
As Tormac grew older, closing in on 19, he became curious as to why his father had left his family and wanted answers. He began to teach his brother how to take care of the house, secretly preparing to leave his home and travel throughout the Shire seeking answers.
While Tormac, now 22, was walking eastwards from Tuckborough on a summer evening he encountered a Bounder who needed help. Tormac kindly offered any assistance he could provide, shooting out the eyes of spiders on an old abandoned farm. As the hobbits started to depart a strange sight appeared. A Black Rider approached and drew his sword, but suddenly the twang of bows were heard as arrows peirced the sky. The Rider turned and fled and out of the bushes rushed Amdir, a man who called himself a Ranger and two others, both of the Fair Folk. Tormac realized these events were more important than his quest, and set off with Amdir to defend the town of Archet near Bree. After a succesful defense of the town, which was nearly destroyed but not completely demolished, Tormac returned to the Shire to start his quest anew.
Eventually joining the Bounder's Tormac began to realize how dire things were in the Shire and other places, and began to put the safety of Free People before his personal endeavours. His oath to protect Men, Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits has led him to many different lands to defeat the evil before it can do too much harm....
Too be continued as Tormac's adventures take him to even more places!!!
