Her dedication to duty and kin is far above copacetic. Her loyalty is without rival. Her tolerance for all people's faults is truly laudable.
Compelled, driven, admirable, loving, and forgiving are all attributes she exhibits. As once put by the Mayor of Bree, "She exudes a certain charisma that demands respect, excites, and comforts."
Yes friends, I speak of Deveon, Captain of Bree, Officer of Lond Treneri, and a friend to all free peoples of the world.
Deveon has a past that includes a humble beginning working at The Prancing Pony in Bree as a youth, to joining the Bree Guard, to traveling to the far reaches of Middle Earth on quests and duties. There is alot to tell, and far to much to fit in to this brief description, so I will fill you in on some fun facts, and if you ever want a detailed history, just ask her, she will be happy to tell a good story.
Deveon joined Lond Treneri after meeting Ceallain and Caspia in the Shire. Dev was on a desperate mission to Michel Delving when she was almost bum-rushed by Caspia at the Green Dragon.
Deveon has no tolerance for spirits, she is a cheap date.
Dev is from Bree, yet she owns a home in Ered Luin. She has a great respect and love for all thing elvish, and when one of her dearest friends Can-Calan mentioned of some real estate for sale near his home, she jumped on the chance to reside with the Elves.
Deveon also tries very hard to learn the tongue of the Elves, Sindarin, and with Can-Calan's help she is slowly learning.
Deveon is relentless in battles, and almost frightening at times, fellow soldiers speak of her eyes glazing over as if she was in a trance.
Deveon is afraid of snakes. Go figure.
Deveon has only just been rescued! She has spent a year as a slave to a clan of Hillmen at Tor Gailvin in Angmar. Her old guide and friend, Kessler, tracked down her whereabouts and sought out the help of Ceallian and all of Lond Treneri to save Deveon. And yes thanks to the valiant effort of all involved Dev is safe and sound in Bree where she currently is recovering from the ordeal.
She is optimistic to a fault, and often underestimates challenges. Deveon can also be quite egotistical, loving all things Deveon, although she is oblivious to this fact.
Most importantly Deveon considers her life's duty to help out those in need. She will be the first to lend a hand whenever she can. If you ever get to meet her keep that in mind.
