Brali hid in the bushes as he braced himself for what lay ahead. Four goblins with the advantage of the Stairs. When would pazrot finally be revealed? One of the goblins caught a glimpse of Brali and immediantly began screaming wildly, he picked up one of the spears from a tattered barrell and threw it with suprising accuracy for a goblin.
Brali lept out the way and threw Stonebiter at the goblin with utmost efficiency landing the axe into the stomach of the goblin as it collapsed onto the floor. Shortly afterwards Brali leapt up to the remaining goblins landing a blow to the head of one goblin as he came down. One of the goblins swung his sword at Brali scraping his stomach. With a quick roar Brali swung his axe at the goblin slicing the neck. With goblin left brali gave one last swing at the goblin and decapitated it.
'Need a rest after that' Brali softly spoke to himself as he sat down panting and puffing. After the brief break Brali proceeded up the old ruined dwarven city wondering of what family once inhabited this.
Before coming up to the last set of stairs Brali saw something upstairs. He snuck up and found a temporary refuge behind a wooden palisade.
Brali saw two figures, each vastly different in appearance. Brali looked at one of the figures of which he could see clearly as a goblin he was clearly of higher status then the other goblins here. Brali guessed this to be pazrot and grinned.
But Brali looked too the other figure to what appeared to be a dwarf!
Brali shot a look of confusion and thought he might be seeing things. As he looked again at the figures he clearly knew this was no goblin. Brali decided that he would confront the two rather than rush into battle. He walked from behid the wooden palisade and began too speak
'Dwarves consulting with goblins!' Brali said with a sincere fire burning in his eyes
The other dwarf looked too Brali with a suprised look on his face and replied back 'This is not your place, leave now and you shall be spared...'
Brali looked to the dwarf with even more confusion than before
'What is going on why are you here?'
The dwarf nodded towards Pazrot and Pazrot replied with a sinister grin and began to charge at Brali.
Brali readied his two axes. Unnerved for what lay ahead. Pazrot reached brali and swung his axe with great strength, Brali blocked the blow with one axe and with the other swung into the bald scalp of Pazrot crushing the goblin as it dropped dead onto the floor.
'Stupid goblin ! never do there job properly!'
The dwarf lashed out at brali with his mattock flailing as if he was possesed.
The dwarf landed a blow on brali's chest. Brali felt the sheer strength of the blow smashing onto him. Luckily he was wearing exceptionally well built dwarven armor.
As the dwarf was recovering his strenth Brali took his chance and swung his blow into the dwarves stomach. The dwarf gave a hateful last glance too Brali his final words were..
' Your time will come!'
The dwarf dropped to the floor. Brali gathered his breath and trudged on up the and eventually came to a giant gate Brali was guessing that he would find more goblins and possibly dwarves and came too the conclusion that therem ight be a good fight or two inside.
He attempted to open the gate and tried in vain. Then Brali remembered the dwarf, maybe he might have the key?
Brali went back down the small slope and found there dwarf lying where he was slain and begain searching him. Lo and behold he found a small dwarven key in the pocket of the dwarves jacket.
Brali went back up too the gate and found the key hole. He inserted the key. Inserted it. And it clicked. The dwarf opened it just enough so he could get in keeping quiet. As his gaze turned away from the door he saw a vast expanse much like Thorins hall, Brali wondered when and who built this and why here?
Brali's thoughts were interupted as he a shadowy figure came from behind and clubbed him on the head.
Brali felt nothing as it went black. Fading into blackneess he caught a glimpse of his attacker...it was a Dwarf
